The service
Languor helps you learn English vocabulary with example sentences and spaced repetition. It is provided as is and may change or stop over time.
Trial and subscription
Languor is free for 14 days from the first word you pick; no payment details are asked for. After that, new words, new sentences and new review cards need a Languor Curious subscription, bought through the App Store: $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year (local prices may differ). Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your App Store account settings; you can also manage it from Settings → Subscription in the app. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected. Without a subscription, after the trial, your words and their sentences stay readable in the app; new words, new sentences, review cards and the next-day check wait until you subscribe. If you delete your account, cancel the subscription first: deleting the account does not cancel it.
AI-written sentences
Example sentences are written by an AI model. They are checked automatically but can still be wrong, awkward or, rarely, inappropriate. Please report any such sentence from the sentence screen (Report sentence); reported sentences are never shown again. Definitions and sentences are for learning, not professional advice.
Your account
You need to sign in to use Languor and be at least 16 years old. Keep your sign-in method secure. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account.
What you need
An iPhone or Android phone with a current operating system, an internet connection, and, for sentences to reach you on time, notifications allowed for Languor.
Complaints
If something does not work or you disagree with how we handled something, write to support@languor.app with your account email and what happened. We reply within 14 days. Complaints about a charge go to Apple, which handles payments for the App Store.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break it, overload it, extract the sentence collection in bulk, or use it to generate content unrelated to learning.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Languor is not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.
Apple
If you downloaded Languor from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
